- Rigging: Three or four masts with triangular rigging.
- Size: Could carry up to 700 tons at the end of the 15th century;
could carry up to 1600 tons by the end of the 16th century. The Tudor
carrack was roughly 115 feet in length and 17 feet in depth.
Length-to-keel length-to-beam (width) ratio was 3:2:1.
