It typically has a broad, straight,
double-edged blade averaging 74 to 84 cm. (29 to 33 inches) in length and a
simple cross-guard. It usually has three fullers, hand-ground in the
center of the blade, with the middle one being much longer than the two on
either side of it. However, there have been blades with as many as five
fullers.
