- Club: Typically a big, heavy stick used to bash heads in. Kind of
self-explanatory; has been around since the Stone Age and is found all over
- Net: Often used in gladiatorial games. Was usually weighted at the
end; often whirled and thrown at the target's legs to trip them up.

- Whip: Long, thin leather (sometimes hair) strip with a handle at one end.
Some had many strands; some only had one; some had glass, stones, or other
sharp objects tied to the tips that would rip into the victim's skin.
